Senior Technical Program Manager
Firmus Technologies
Firmus Technologies is a global leader pioneering the development and operation of efficient AI infrastructure across Asia Pacific.
Founded in Australia in 2019, our mission is to create the most efficient AI infrastructure by combining cutting-edge technology with a steadfast commitment to sustainability.
At Firmus, we are unique in our approach. We design, build, and operate a new class of digital infrastructure – the AI Factory. Through our model-to-grid technology approach, we have pushed the boundaries of multi-generational liquid cooling systems, energy management, AI software orchestration, and construction. For our customers, this approach allows us to make every watt count and deliver low-cost AI tokens globally.
Firmus AI Cloud
Our large-scale GPU cloud platform, Firmus AI Cloud, is purpose-built to deliver energy-efficient AI compute at scale to customers.
It empowers developers, enterprises, educational institutions, and government users to train and deploy AI models with unmatched efficiency and cost savings. With an ever-growing suite of services and applications, we are committed to delivering a cloud experience that is market-leading, proprietary, and built to scale.
Role Summary
We are seeking a versatile Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, large-scale technical programs at Firmus. Depending on the assignment, you may be externally facing – managing delivery with our key customers, including major hyper-scalers and frontier model builders – or internally facing, driving the strategic infrastructure and platform programs that power Firmus AI Cloud. In both cases, you will act as the bridge between engineering, operations, and business teams to ensure initiatives land with minimal disruption and maximum value.
As the owner of program delivery, you will translate ambiguity into structured, phased plans, manage complex technical dependencies across stakeholders, and keep everyone aligned from working teams through to executive leadership. You will drive implementation, ensure milestones and adoption targets are met, establish feedback loops, and make the technical trade-off decisions that balance delivery velocity with customer and business impact—whether the “customer” sits outside the company or within it.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll own the delivery of your programs end to end – turning ambiguous goals into structured, phased plans with clear scope, timelines, and milestones, and running the operating rhythm of daily or weekly syncs, executive status meetings, and stakeholder communications that keep everyone aligned on readiness, roadmaps, and impact. Throughout, you’ll make the technical trade-off decisions that balance internal velocity against customer and business impact.
Depending on the assignment, that delivery is either externally facing—acting as the trusted point of contact for major hyper-scalers and frontier model builders, owning customer communications and advisories, and driving adoption milestones and feedback loops—or internally facing, leading the cross-team platform and infrastructure programs that power Firmus AI Cloud and aligning internal sponsors and engineering leaders on roadmaps and delivery. Either way, you’ll apply the same rigour and stakeholder discipline.
Across both, you’ll bring enough command of our systems—AI Factory architecture, GPU performance and benchmarking, and infrastructure constraints—to answer questions directly and validate impact assessments rather than just relaying between teams. You’ll orchestrate delivery across engineering, operations, and customer-facing functions, and run a regular leadership cadence to manage escalations and hold communication timelines.
Skills & Experience
You’ll bring at least 10 years in Technical Program or Project Management, including 4+ years leading large-scale transformation programs, whether that’s with direct external customer exposure or delivering internal enterprise programs. Just as important is technical fluency across the AI/ML stack: a robust understanding of AI hardware, large-scale networks, and cloud architectures, grounded in practical experience building, scaling, and operating high-density infrastructure and systems.
Communication is central to this role. You can draft a customer-facing advisory that is clear, empathetic, and technically accurate – not a cut-and-paste from an LLM – and you use a range of tools (like Jira) day to day to build the artifacts and plans that organize, communicate, and drive customer and program success. You pair this with strong stakeholder management across Sales, Customer Success, Operations, and internal engineering leaders, and you’re comfortable in high-ambiguity environments where program structures often need to be created rather than simply followed.
Ideally, you bring a proven track record delivering programs such as enterprise feature rollouts with customer-specific configurations, cloud migrations for enterprise customers, large-scale GPU infrastructure or data-centre buildouts, and internal platform migrations or cross-team infrastructure rollouts.
