Privacy Policy

We understand that protecting your personal information is important. This Privacy Policy sets out our commitment to protecting the privacy of personal information provided to us, or otherwise collected by us when providing our website Services to you. In this Privacy Policy we, us or our means Firmus Metal International Pte. Ltd (UEN 202317701E) and its group of companies, including its subsidiaries and affiliated companies.

The types of Personal Information we may collect about you include:

  • your credit card or payment details (through our third party payment
    processor);

We do not actively request Sensitive Information about you. If at any time we need to collect sensitive information about you, unless otherwise permitted by law, we will first obtain your consent and we will only use it as required or authorised by law.

When we send your Personal Information outside of Singapore, we shall ensure that your Personal Information is protected to at least the same standard as that in Singapore and comparable to the level of protection under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012, and that there is a proper contract governing such data transfer.

Your rights and controlling your Personal Information

Your choice: Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you provide personal
information to us, you understand we will collect, hold, use and disclose your
personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. You do not have to provide personal information to us, however, if you do not, it may affect our ability to provide our Services to you and your use of our Services.

Information from third parties: If we receive personal information about you from a third party, we will protect it as set out in this Privacy Policy. If you are a third party providing personal information about somebody else, you represent and warrant that you have such person’s consent to provide the personal information to us.

Restrict and unsubscribe: To object to processing for direct marketing/unsubscribe from our email database or opt-out of communications (including marketing communications), please contact us using the details below or opt-out using the opt-out facilities provided in the communication.

Access: You may request access to the personal information that we hold about you by sending our DPO a request at dpo@smc.co and we shall handle such requests as soon as reasonably possible, in any case, within 30 calendar days. An administrative fee may be payable for the provision of such information. Please note, in some situations, we may be legally permitted to withhold access to your personal information.

Retention: Your Personal Information will not be kept longer than necessary. For avoidance of doubt, this will only be for a period of seven years at maximum after you cease to use our services, which takes into account potential legal liability on our part. Such Personal Information will also be deleted or purged at the end of such retention period and we will not retain any such information unless there are special circumstances. We may have to retain some of your Personal Information after you cease to use our services, for instance if that data is necessary to meet our legal obligations, such as retaining the information for tax and accounting purposes. Withdrawal of Consent: You may choose whether or not to provide your Personal Information, and if already provided, you may choose to exercise your right to object, block or remove such Personal Information as provided by law.


You may withdraw your consent at any time for the collection, use or disclosure of Personal Information by giving us reasonable notice via a written request made by email to our Data Protection Officer at dpo@smc.co. Once a written request is submitted, we shall inform the individual of the outcome and likely consequences of the withdrawal of consent within 5 Business Days. Thereafter, we shall cease to collect, use or disclose the Personal Information upon such withdrawal unless otherwise permitted or required by any applicable laws and regulations. The entire withdrawal process should not take longer than 10 Business Days, from the receipt of your notice of withdrawal of consent till the provision of written confirmation that the process is completed.

Correction: If you believe that any information we hold about you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, please contact us using the details below. We will take reasonable steps to promptly correct any information found to be inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. Please note, in some situations, we may be legally permitted to not correct your personal information.

We will promptly investigate your complaint and respond to you, in writing, setting out the outcome of our investigation and the steps we will take in response to your complaint.
